Aspilsan Energy Inc. has EASA Production Organization Approval (POA under Part 21 Subpart G) and AP to DOA (under 21A.14(b)) for aircraft batteries (ETSO C-173). TAOS has been working with Aspilsan since EASA applications and supported Aspilsan for establishment of Part 21 infrastructure. Always fun to work with them.

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) System Safety Training

At TAOS invitation, the FAA provided a four-day System Safety Training to Turkish aviation industry in Ankara on April 17-20, 2018. TAI, ASELSAN and TEI participated in this training. TAOS thanks Mr. Linh Le from the FAA for his comprehensive instructions on FAR 25.1301 and 25.1309. TAOS also thanks Electronics Valley for their help organizing a successful training event.

Nazan Gozay Gurbuz, Founder of TAOS delivered a presentation called “Determining Software Criticality Levels”.
Software related failures are systematic in nature. Software is generally application specific and its reliability parameters cannot be estimated in the same manner as hardware. Therefore, another approach called development assurance is used to mitigate software development errors. Software criticality level assignment is an important process to apply sufficient development assurance rigor.
